Favourite Architect

“Architecture should speak of its time and place but yearn for timelessness”. Frank Gehry.

I admire the approach that Gehry brings to his work, as not only does he create architecture wherein serves a function, but he also creates buildings and structures, which are magnificent representations of art themselves. My favorite piece of work by him is the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. I am particularly impressed by this design because he has created a building of great artistic value whilst also being an idealistic venue to house masterpieces of art. I am inspired by the Deconstructive style combined with the various curves of the titanium surface, which catches and reflects off rays of light.
