“Architecture should speak of its time and
place but yearn for timelessness”. Frank
Gehry.
I admire the approach that Gehry brings to
his work, as not only does he create architecture wherein serves a function,
but he also creates buildings and structures, which are magnificent
representations of art themselves. My favorite piece of work by him is the
Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. I am particularly impressed by this design
because he has created a building of great artistic value whilst also being an
idealistic venue to house masterpieces of art. I am inspired by the
Deconstructive style combined with the various curves of the titanium surface,
which catches and reflects off rays of light.
